The Kerala State Higher Secondary Education Department considers practical work as a very important part of the curriculum. The Physics lab at St. Mary’s School will present, the students with the opportunity to gain insight into the basic principles of physics. The lab exercises are setup to allow you to gather data, analyze the data using the principles of the assigned topic, to obtain quantified results, and then for the students to evaluate the results to determine if the principles are sound. It is our hope that these labs will aid the students to gain a better understanding of the covered material.

The Physics Laboratory aim to train students in laboratory skills such as:

· Assembling and operating apparatus

· Following and recording experimental procedures

· Taking and interpreting data

· Determination of experimental uncertainties

· Presenting the results of an experiment in a written report.
