WHO WE ARE
St. Mary’s Girls’ Higher Secondary School was started in 1930. It is under the corporate management of schools, Eparchy of Kanjirappally. Higher Secondary section was sanctioned during the year 2002-2003, to fulfil the vision of St. Chavara Kuriakose Elias the founder of the congregation of Mother of Carmel(CMC). Higher secondary section is Un-Aided but recognized by the Department of Higher Secondary Education, Government of Kerala.
Education of the girls were a dream of St. Chavara, the Congregation of the Mother of Carmel (CMC) Amala Province Kanjirappally translated the founder’s dream in to a reality. The school is located in Kanjirappally town near t0 Cathedral Church and Akkarappally.
WHAT WE DO
The CMC sisters in Amala province dedicate themselves for the education of Girls and prepare them for their future career with a view to develop well balanced personalities for the good of the society promoters of the better world, families and societies where love, fellowship and service prevail its fragrance in all directions.
Parent Teacher Association, whose executive committee consisting of elected members from each section is an advisory to help the principal in all school activities. We have a unit of NSS apart from various clubs. Teachers and Non-Teaching Staff members are the back bone of our school.
The school is divided in to four houses to promote true competitive spirit and they are headed by student leaders guided by teachers. The school leaders are elected at the beginning of each Academic Year.
